THERAPY PROCESS

During the first few sessions, we’ll meet to discuss the issues that brought you to therapy, your history, and what you hope to gain from therapy.  I’ll also tell you more about an initial plan for therapy to treat your issues. These first few sessions will also help me to recommend the frequency of therapy that will be most helpful for you.

 

FEES AND PAYMENT

We’ll discuss the fee for therapy during our initial consultation call. I also offer a reduced fee for clients who are in need.  Payment is due in full at the time of service. I accept cash, check, and credit cards. I also accept payment from your FSA and HSA accounts; please check with your employer to make sure that mental health therapy is included in covered services.

INSURANCE

I’m considered to be an out-of-network provider, which means that your insurance may cover part or all of the cost of therapy. I choose to not accept payment from insurance companies because I don’t want them to direct the length or type of care I provide. I’m happy to provide you with the paperwork necessary for you to submit  to your insurance company. You can find out more about which services are covered by asking your insurance provider about the out-of-network behavioral health benefits covered under your plan. Please note that I cannot guarantee that part or all of my services are covered by your insurance. It is the client’s responsibility to submit documentation to the insurance provider if seeking reimbursement for services.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancelling sessions. You will be responsible for payment of the entire session fee if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or if you no-show to the session.
